Wasting Time As Art

Art is everything that overflows its outline, the name of what it is. If a photograph captures an instant, then a painting is a record of a subject viewed through time—minutes, hours, months of working on an image. Thus, a painting is at once an unchanging imagine while still a record drawn through time. It is necessarily perception and memory.
